Lemon balm Liquid sedative bath concentrate

Composition: Lemon balm sprout and blossom truss essential oil.

Presentation: 190 ml bottles.

Properties:

Sedative bath concentrate with essential oil of lemon balm is effective in nervous tension and increased excitability. High quality essential oil of lemon balm has beneficial effects on the body: relaxes muscles and nervous system, has a calming effect, facilitates falling asleep and improves sleep.
Lemon balm (lat. Melissa officinalis) is a perennial herbaceous essential oil plant. Mediterranean region to Persia, the Black Sea region and Asia as well as North Africa, where it has been cultivated for over 2 000 years, are deemed to be lemon balm ancestral home. Lemon balm essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of fresh flowering aerial parts of balm. It blooms from July to September. Fresh balm product has lemon flavor. Lemon balm essential oil contains citral, citronellal, geraniol and myrcene. The seeds contain fatty oil (20%).
Lemon balm has antispasmodic and sedative action; it strengthens heart muscle, has wound healing effect and stimulates CNS. In addition, lemon balm has a beneficial effect on the stomach, brain, especially in nervous cramps, dizziness and tinnitus.
Lemon balm essential oil is of low toxicity and has a sedative effect. Its main action is sedative in sleep disorders, insomnia, stress, fear, depression, melancholy, fatigue, memory loss, headaches. It has antiviral activity and can be used to treat herpes, influenza and herpes zoster.

Dosing: 30 ml of liquid concentrate per total bath volume is diluted under water.

Water temperature: 34-37°C.

Procedure time: 10-20 min.

Course of treatment: 10 procedures.

Counterindications:
Counterindications are similar to those of common baths and aromatherapy treatments: extensive skin lesions, active period of skin and childhood diseases involving rash; severe infectious and inflammatory diseases that occur with fever; severe heart failure, severe hypertension; asthma; oncological diseases, tuberculosis.
Spa procedures are counterindicated to pregnant women and infants.
Young children may take spa procedures only after doctor’s consultation.
Instead of general aromabath patients may be advised to conduct half-bath, topical baths, wet wiping as defined by their indications.
The concentrate should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to its ingredients.

Storage requirements: Keep out of the reach of children and at room temperature.

Shelf life: 3 years.
