The notion that the scars adorn a man, is very doubtful. As for the scars in women – any comments are at all superfluous. Therefore, if scars could not be avoided – you need to fight with them. And Contractubex* gel can help with this.

The indications for use of Contractubex include hypertrophic and keloid scars (adhesions), stretch marks in pregnant women, contractures and scar strictures. Already for a long time Contractubex – product No.1** from scars in the world.

Contractubex contains a combination of active ingredients: onion extract, heparin and allantoin. The drug reduces the growth of scar tissue, softens, smoothes, reduces inflammation, redness, itching, a feeling of tension in the scars, making them less noticeable.

Pharmacodynamics. Contractubex exerts antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, softening and smoothing effect on the scar tissue.

Onion extract exhibits anti-inflammatory effect due to inhibition of inflammatory mediators, and exerts anti-allergic effect. Besides, it inhibits proliferation and growth of fibroblasts of various origins, keloid fibroblasts, in particular. Also, they’ve proved inhibitory effect of onion extract in relation to mitosis (cell division), and decreased formation of extracellular matrix components from fibroblasts (e.g. proteoglycans). Onion extract also has a bactericidal effect. These properties stimulate primary wound healing and help to counteract unphysiological scarring.

Heparin has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-proliferative effects, increases hydration of tissues and exerts softening effect on collagen structure. In the treatment of scars anti-inflammatory action of heparin and its effect on connective tissue matrix components are more important than the known antithrombotic effect.

Allantoin promotes wound healing and epithelialization, increases water binding of tissues. In addition, its keratolytic effect and the ability to improve permeability increase the effectiveness of other gel components. Allantoin also has a calming effect, reduces the severity of itching that often accompanies the process of scarring.

Synergistic effect of this combination is aimed at inhibiting proliferation of fibroblasts and abnormally accelerated collagen synthesis, in particular.

Pharmacokinetics. Not studied.

If you have solid, deep-rooted scars leave a gel under a bandage overnight. Depending on the size and thickness of the scar the treatment lasts from several weeks to several months.
